Romans 8:15 “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.”
Happy Fathers Day, Daddy!
On June 18th, 1990 you were there to witness my birth into your family. Since that time, You have been so much more than a Father – You are my God.
You have nurtured me, forgiven me, spanked me and taught me. You have guided me through rough seas. You have held my hand when it was too dark to see. You carried me when I felt I couldn’t go on and You gave me hope to go on when I thought I couldn’t take one more step.
You have seen my through my rebellious times; stood by my side when not other would. And when I felt most alone, Your presence became the sweetest times of fellowship You and I have ever known!
You are my God; my all in all. You are the beginning of my day and You are my eternity. You tug at my heart when I stray. You call me when I have wandered away. You speak to my heart with music so sweet. You come near when I call out to You for comfort.
Your promises have calmed storms; caused fear to flee and chased the devil and his minions back to hell. You give me armor to fight, a sword that has such power and grow every mustard seed of faith I place in Your hand.
I can talk for hours about what kind of Father You have been and will always be to me, but today, I just want to stop and reflect on all that You have done as my Heavenly Father.
Happy Father’s Day Daddy – I love You!
