John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
Faith is the gathering of evidence proving the existence of God.
Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
The evidence of continued success through trials and God’s continued love and care should sustain us through the darkest of times. Yet, we fret and worry because we forget to remember the past victories and times when God answered prayers.
The Word of God is evident through the millennia that God can and will answer the prayers of His people. But what of us?
Can we testify of the answers to recent prayers?
Can we tell of the times when God used us to help others?
Do we have times of new blessing, mercy shown, and grace given?
Can we tell of the peace in our hearts in times of trouble?
What of joy?
John 17:13 “And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.”
Jesus prayed in John 17 that we might have His joy fulfilled in us.
This week starts with all the possibility of seeing the hand of God move and work.
Let us pray that we cannot only have our prayers answered, healing, comfort, and protection. But, that we would be able to recognize those moments in real-time to properly give God the thanks and praise He so rightly deserves.
Ask God for the spiritual awareness to see those moments in time enough to give Him the proper praise and glory due Him.
