John 4:10 “Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.”
For those of us who have placed our faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, we know the power, the beauty, and the wonder the gift of salvation is to us.
Some of the simplest things in life produce the greatest pleasures.
A savory meal.
A true friend in need.
A beautiful sunset or sunrise.
A glimpse of beauty in nature that reveals God’s intricate detail and design.
A Bible verse that opens our heart and mind to a transforming truth.
God’s Word never fails to produce thoughts, meditations, and pondering that opens our understanding to the character of God, the love of God, and His mercy, grace, and forgiveness.
We should never allow our hearts to grow, even lukewarm, to the power of the Word of God.
Today, our Sabbath should be a day of rest.
Take some time to reflect on all that God has done for you and then praise Him.
