Proverbs 22:20-21 “Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge, That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?”
When we place our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to save us, we receive the indwelling Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us into all truth. We had to trust the words told to us about His saving grace, His atoning blood, and the eternal promise of Heaven.
I could launch into a discourse on the many Bibles that exist and which are trustworthy, but that is not for today. Every child of God needs to firmly decide which Bible they are going to trust as their “every word” Bible.
Matthew 4:4 “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
When you firmly stand on your every word Bible, then IT, not YOU, become the authority of what is right and what is wrong. When we become the final authority to decide, we will fail. Our hearts are not trustworthy.
Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
When the words of the Bible can tell us what is right, what is wrong, how to get right, and how to stay right, we are well on our way to living the victorious Christian life.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”
I pray that you are able to receive these certain words in the spirit in which they are intended; in love and sincerity.
I hope today is filled with God’s presence, power, grace, mercy, and , love, and His wonderful presence.
